Snapchat video messaging comes to the stable Android app

The popular self-destructing message app Snapchat just got a nice new feature on Android. We told you recently that video messaging had come to the beta version of Snapchat, but now the update has gone live and the video messaging feature has made it to the stable version of the app in the Google Play Store.

Video messages are limited to just 10 seconds in length, and carry a 1 to 10 second self-destruct option. The app still offers the same options for text messages and images can be sent to contacts on the same timer anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds. And, the app will notify the person who sent you the message if you attempt to take a screenshot in order to save the message.

The update also includes a new notification system, which gives users more control over what kind of alerts are shown. The app is also supposedly faster and more reliable.?
