The economic growth surge in Asia and the higher demand for consumer technology products in the Philippines gave reseller Futureworld the confidence to expand its Metro Manila.

?Filipino consumers are very exciting and tech driven ? iPhones, iPads, and other mobile devices are used everyday not just for Internet connectivity but for a breadth of other purposes like entertainment and productivity,? Anthony Perreau, Futureworld One Philippines Inc. regional representative, said Monday.

?For tech start-ups, this is a good country to be in,? the company said in an e-mailed statement, citing Perreau.

These developments in Asia in general and in the Philippines in particular has encouraged Futureworld One to aim for a lead role as reseller of Apple products, the company claimed.

This year, Futureworld One opened its first two branches in Metro Manila, the latest over the weekend in SM City Masinag in Antipolo City. The other branch was launched earlier this year in SM Bicutan, the company said.

?Our-long term plan is to expand in locations with demands and needs not yet offered and catered to by other local Apple Premium Resellers, such as Antipolo and Bicutan,? said Gerald Senolos, Futureworld One country manager.

The company expects to open other branches in San Lazaro and Sta. Mesa in Manila.

The new stores will carry a complete lineup of Apple hardware and software products, as well as earphone organizer Onanoff, iOs compatible weighing scale and blood pressure monitor Withings, Incipio cases, cycling power meter iBike, and organization accessories from Cocoon.
